George came to my house today and fixed my grandfather clock!
He cleaned, oiled, adjusted and tuned it up. It runs now. Perfectly. George was awesome !!. Friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. I couldn’t be happier with his service. I hired WNY Clock Repair to help move my Grandpa’s grandfather clock. George was very careful about everything, explaining what he was doing and why. He removed the weights and pendulum and carefully wrapped each. When setting it up at my house he looked over the mechanism, explained what everything does, and answered any questions I had. A couple of the gears were stiffened up so he carefully loosened them. During the take down he noticed that it was chiming on the wrong time. During setup he corrected this, carefully leveled the clock, and adjusted the pendulum to ensure everything was running correctly. Grandpa’s clock is now safely at my house, ticking away.

It’s taken me about 8 weeks to write this review for a reason. After the horrible experience I had with a reputable clock repair shop on Main St, I wanted to wait to see the results before recommending DBA WNY CLOCK REPAIR. Well the results of my little experiment is that I would NEVER have any other clock repairman work on my mantle clock or my grandfather’s clock!! My mantle clock is about 45 years old and not very expensive but George understood how sentimental it was to me and treated it like an antique. Explaining what was happening and why all through his examination. It was decided that he needed to take the clock with him. Needless to say George delivered my clock earlier than expected (not 8 months later as the other shop did), and working like a charm. The tone, the chimes….PERFECTION! This is why I waited to write this…..wanted to see that the clock was perfect and I have not been disappointed!! I have been singing DBA’S praises all over Amherst and Snyder! My family and friends will be contacting George ASAP! Needless to say, I HIGHLY recommend DBA WNY CLOCK REPAIR!
